Great strides have been made in all aspects of capacitor technology since Electrolytic Capacitors was published in 1938. Most of the material presented here at this time is directly from the original edition. The reader should therefore be cautious in regards to the technical veracity of any claims herein.
The greater part of this book will ultimately become part of an online history of capacitors. New and updated material will replace this book in phases, so that an entirely new book will emerge in the end. A similar approach is planned for other capacitor and related raw material technologies.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this project by contributing material from their field of expertise. Organizations of all types are also encouraged to support our efforts.
